How Can Your Church Partner With Us?

Thank you for your interest in learning ways that your church can become involved in our ministry. It is vital that we outreach to international students from around the world who come to Pittsburgh each year to study. Please contact us with any questions & your info so we can get started!

HOST A PRISM Connect Meeting

Bring a team of people from your church to help prepare and serve a selection of hearty snacks to international students on a Friday evening at Bellefield Church. After a game/activity, our staff introduces a cross-cultural topic that is discussed around tables. Depending on the gifts and talents of those who come, we can involve your group in the program. This gives international students an excellent opportunity to meet and befriend American people. After the discussion, we will serve the snacks. Hopefully, joining us in this event wil give your group a closer look at our ministry.

We would like to occasionally offer a meal at PRISM Connect, if your church is interested in providing this service, please let us know.

This is someone with a special interest in outreach to international students who can identify, coordinate and encourage volunteers, and who can serve as an information liaison between your church and our ministry.

Did you know there are approximately 10,000 international students studying here in Pittsburgh? And only about 20% ever step foot in an American family's home, according to International Students Inc. YOU can help change these numbers! Through this program we connect you with a student or visiting scholar, giving you the opportunity to befriend someone you otherwise may never have met. We ask that you: meet with them monthly, contact them weekly, pray for them, and commit to this for one year.

Pray that God’s Spirit will prepare the hearts of international students to be open to receiving spiritual truths from the Bible. Pray for effective, loving contact with American Christians.   Funds are needed for staffing, equipment and supplies, and special events.
